The Programme

Easy – Lowland walking, flat or with gentle hills. Ideal for those with little or no experience of walking or cycling.

Moderate – Hills and dales, generally below 1,500 feet.

Strenuous – High level mountain and moorland over 1,500 feet. May involve steep ascents/descents or scrambling.

The onus is on individuals to arrange their own transport to and from hostel weekends. It is not the responsibility of the booking officer or any other member of the committee to arrange transport.

8th Apr 19:30 There is light at the end of Tunnel Steve Mackey, Chairman of the Rhondda Tunnel Society brings us up to date on plans to open what will be Europe’s longest walking and cycling tunnel.
15th Apr 19.00 Magor Marsh with Gwent Wildlife Trust Ian leads us on a walk and visit to this Nature Reserve before the Black Route decimates it. Hopefully not.

3rd Feb Sun 9.30 Tidenham and the Old Border Ian leads us on this delightful walk across the border to that place beginning with E. HARD
22nd – 24th Feb Manchester Hostel Weekend We will all be “united” in visiting this “city” hostel.

22nd – 24th Mar Blytheswood Hostel Weekend Where is it you ask. Well come along and find out. By the way it’s in south Devon on the fringes of Dartmoor.
